A family owned and run business focused on ecologically sustainable aquaculture. Located in native bushland, the farm grows salmon in natural conditions, without chemicals or antibiotics, using environmentally sustainable practices.

41 Degrees South also showcases its ginseng, and is a pioneer of commercial ginseng farming in Tasmania. Take a self-guided walking tour of the farm where you will see how the fish are raised and the water re-circulated through the natural bio-filter system. Explore the natural and man-made wetland areas and along the banks of the Western Rivulet with its diverse array of vegetation from woodland to wetland grasses, and encounter the resident wildlife.

Visit Georgie’s Café on site for lunch or try a sample plate of 41 Degrees South hot smoked salmon products. Browse the gift shop and deli for in products to take home or to enjoy on your travels including hot smoked salmon portions, salmon rillettes spread, ginseng spice mix seasoning, one island spicy sauce and more.
