Visit:

From the lush meadows of Smithton in the heart of Tasmania’s dairy region comes La Cantara Artisan Cheeses. You’re invited to experience these unique and delicious cheeses created before your eyes.

From the purpose-built observation room, enjoy a full view of the resident cows being milked by state-of-the-art robots. The ladies come in voluntarily throughout the day for milking, snacking and well-earned head scratches. Learn the history of dairy farming and cheese-making in the region that produces some of Australia’s highest quality milk.

After witnessing the manufacturing process from paddock-to-platter, sample La Cantara Cheeses’ unique range, and take home your selection of favourites.
