Penguin to Devonport Trail

  • There’s no such thing as a bad time to get around a grazing platter, so start your day with Tasmanian Pickled Onions’ signature tasting experience, featuring locally-made chorizo, cheese and – of course – local pickled onions. A wine tasting from next-door neighbours Broad Acres is also included.
  • Take the highway east to Penguin Beer Co. for a guided beer tasting (Saturday and Sunday, 1pm and 2.15pm) and lunch on the waterfront. Anyone for an afternoon beach dip?! Or save the northern coast for the end of the day – the team at Penguin Beer Co. will be slinging their menu of burgers, tacos and water views until late all weekend.
  • Alternatively, head south first to Spreyton Cider Co. where cider tastings will be pouring from midday all weekend. On Sunday (12pm), an exclusive tour will take you through the entire production process of Spreyton’s award-winning apple and pear ciders, and live music in the orchards is your ticket to keeping the whole family entertained.
  • Be transported to a world of gin at Devonport’s Southern Wild Distillery, where tasting paddles, G&Ts and bespoke cocktails abound.
