Make like the hipsters and enjoy complimentary tastings of filter coffee at Leaping Goat Coffee, who are opening especially to caffeinate TrailGraze-rs all weekend (7.30am-12pm). There’s more than just babycinos to perk the kids up, too: baby goats, face-painting, and an ice-cream van will all be on-site!
Or start the day more slowly with a Stretch & Sip experience (Saturday and Sunday, 9.30am) at House of Hargrave, taking you from yoga in the vines to mimosas over breakfast. The cellardoor is also open all weekend for tastings and lunch, with the property’s friendly family of Highland cows ready for petting and photo opportunities with the kids.
A little further south, take a tour of Plump Berries’ abundant berry patch, and enjoy a tasting of small-batch fruit wines and liqueurs (Saturday and Sunday, 10am, 11am, 1pm and 2.00pm).
Venture out to picturesque Eastford Creek Vineyard for a TrailGraze-exclusive cellar tour and tasting of special release wines on Saturday, or settle in on Sunday with a cheese and wine pairing experience, featuring good friends La Cántara Artisan Cheeses.
Make your way back to Devonport to join Island State Brewing’s malt and hop experts on a behind-the-scenes tour, including a flight of four award-winning beers (Saturday and Sunday, 3pm).
