Deloraine Trail
- Kick off a day in Deloraine at ecologically-minded salmon and ginseng farm, 41° South Tasmania. Take a self-guided tour to learn about sustainable farming practices and send the kids on a butterfly hunt, before indulging in a tasting of salmon and ginseng products.
- Take a hop, skip and jump five minutes north to Meander Valley Vineyard to make like a winemaker in a collective grape foot stomp (Saturday and Sunday, 11am). Stick around for a wine tasting and platter overlooking the vines.
- Join a special 50-minute mini-tour of The Truffle Farm (Saturday and Sunday, 9.30 and 2pm) to meet the truffle dogs and have a taste of freshly unearthed truffle. The farmgate shop will be open all weekend, serving up scoops of truffle ice cream and plenty of truffle-y treats to take home.
- Satisfy your sweet tooth and enjoy free face-painting for the kids (Sunday, 1pm-3pm) at Dixie Blue Gelato Café.
- Soak up the afternoon sunshine at Little Green Men Brewing, complete with live music (Saturday and Sunday, 2-5pm). Catch up with the brewers for a chinwag about their favourite thing over a schooner of their favourite thing!
- Be one of the first to taste Western Tiers Distillery’s new Autumn apple and cinnamon spirit – they’re offering free tastings all weekend, along with a lunch menu, cocktails and express tours.
