Established in 2005, Van Diemens Land Creamery was created by a Tasmanian dairy farming family in an endeavour to add value to their milk. Using milk from their farm, Jan and Paul began creating some of the freshest ice cream available, with some batches going from cow to consumer in less than 24 hours.

Today, Paul and Jan have moved their focus from farming to creating artisan ice cream and gelato using as little additives and preservatives as possible, while maintaining the amazing texture and consistency of smooth, creamy ice cream.

Anvers Chocolate Factory in Latrobe is a chocolate lover's heaven. Chocolate truffles, chocolate oranges, fudge and pralines are hand-made using fresh Tasmanian cream and butter, single origin chocolate, fruits, nuts and liqueurs.

Igor Van Gerwen, owner and head chocolatier, acquired his know-how from his native Belgium. Samples are available to tempt you in the tasting centre and shop.

Viewing windows allow you behind-the-scenes insight into the action: confectioners tempering, moulding and enrobing fine chocolates, truffles, pralines, fudge and more.

Jim & Val Hursey purchased the current Hursey's site in Stanley in 1987, and a fish factory, takeaway and small café were built. A complete renovation in 2015 now sees a 100-seat upstairs restaurant, with a takeaway and fresh fish sales area downstairs.

Hursey’s nine fishing vessels catch Southern Rock Lobster/Giant Crab, and scale fish and gummy shark from Bruny Island in the south to King Island in the Bass Strait and right along the rugged West Coast. The daily catch is processed on-board ready for restaurant and export sales.

The fully-licensed restaurant menu features Southern Rock Lobster, scallops, oysters and other seasonally available fresh seafood, as well as local beer and wine.

Utilising a state-of-the-art control system, Stillsmiths Tasmania has created a fully automated next generation distillery which means the Western Tiers distillers can focus on their passion: creating spirits of unmatched smoothness and flavour.

Western Tiers Distillery showcases a fabulous selection of premium Tasmanian whisky at its tasting bar, and conducts tours, tasting and meals made from local produce, offering a unique Tasmanian experience.
